Live Edge

Live edge describes a type of cutting board with an earthy, unfinished edge made by leaving the natural edge on during the milling process. There can be special challenges involved in working with live edge. Typically more sanding is required to remove bark but the finished board has an appealingly organic look.  I finish these boards with mineral oil and bees wax.
